I’ve always thought the most useful skill a writer could have is to be able to read their own work as if they’ve never seen it before, to experience their story as their reader will. Until someone invents a terrifying machine that can temporarily trap a portion of your memory in an attention-proof bubble, the next best option available to you is to entrust your precious work to a sensitive reader with an understanding of story craft. This I can offer you.
I can also offer you encouragement. I understand how lonely and frustrating writing can feel. I know how dispiriting your inner critic can be. I know what it’s like to pin your self-worth to your literary achievements, and the emotional costs of failing to achieve your writerly ambitions on time. There is so much in a writer’s life and the world of publishing that is out of your control. The one thing you can have absolute control over is your own fiction. So that is the place to focus your efforts. It’s also the place I can help you.

The mentoring and feedback I offer is tailored to your specific needs, so it’s not possible to give a definitive list of specific prices here. But to give you an idea:
- feedback on a single short story of up to 4k words starts at £150
- feedback on a full novel of up to 70k words starts at £900
